Well Said and Thanks, Mike
The trades with the unowned teams went very well, in my judgment.
They are a welcome addition to where we are now.
I had several trades approved and at least two disapproved. One disapproval I understood--I tried to grab Pujols from an unmanaged team. I knew the odds were slim, even though I offered value, because a player like Pujols is a magnet to prospective owners.
Having a trade overrueled under any circumstances isn't pleasant. There will never be agreement. That said, somebody has to do it, and while I don't always agree with Mike (somewhat like an umpire), there is never any doubt that the decision is taken seriously and not entered into lightly.
Let's quit bellyaching and get on with the season!
