I have been trying to get value for Randa for over a month now and there is not much interest. He is 34, hitting in the .230s and is decent defensively. Not exactly someone to build a championship around or to get het up about. It's good to see Jiminez made it back from that car wreck, but I don't think he is all that good either (personal opinion only). Lofton, though oldish, is tearing it up against righties and plays a much more valuable position.

I don't know if the guy needed a center fielder (my guess is he did) or what alternative 3rd and 2nd guys he had. I think the trade slightly favors the unmanaged team; certainly not by as much as you imply, but, depending upon the owned team's needs and roster, probably made it better also. It seems to me this is an example of exactly the type of trade Mike should accept for an unmanaged team.
