RT Start
One of the quirks of PB RT is the usage of small sample players with extraordinary success for the first 25-30 games of a RT season. As the manual states:
"Non-Pitchers: Position players (non-pitchers) are limited to 110% of their plate appearances for the corresponding season. The limit is imposed in a gradual manner. Position players with 150 or more plate appearances in the corresponding season are unlimited in their use for the first 20% of the season (50% or 25 games in Launch Leagues). They are limited to 150% of their plate appearances after the first 20% of the season but that percentage gradually goes down to 110% by the end of the season."
All I was suggesting, is that by having the season start a week later, stats could reflect a larger sample size, perhaps mitigating the manipulation of early season statistical abnomolies.
I played Ron Coomer and his plus .340 avg. splits last year at the difficult 3B position last year; his numbers in RT were outstanding---even though he was quickly overused and I eventually cut him for a monthly FA Draft pick.
