Your right, he was also 7th in range factor.
I looked at ESPN's stats from last year. I had assumed that Hunters were low because I was comparing them to Erstad's numbers.
His numbers are just plain off when using range factor and zone ratings.
I still like the idea of a weighted average taking the previous year into account when doing defensive ratings to keep huge swings from occuring year to year.
Oh, and by the way, don't you just love when a player you own finally plays a position you need him to play at (i.e. Frank Thomas at 1B finally).
