Boston (if he's a starter)
If you take the trade OUT OF CONTEXT then I would say that Kim is more valuable than Hillenbrand if used as a starter; however, Hillenbrand would be more valuable if Kim is used as a reliever. I say that because I feel that 600 PA has more impact than 80 IP. If I had a hole at 3B and I had Kim as a reliever then I might trade Kim for Hillenbrand.
Now if you look at the trade IN THE CONTEXT of the needs of the teams involved then I say it helps both teams but it probably helps Boston more. Boston can use Mueller at 3B and not lose much (if anything?), while Kim helps the pitching staff no matter what role he plays. Hillenbrand on the other hand can help fill Arizona's needs.
