I think all Sosa's bats have a 'C'
...or so I understand. But not all were corked.
What do you expect the guy to say?, "I've been cheating every time up for years."
He's probably not the only guy who uses a corked bat from time to time. The league apparently only looks at the problem when an obvious broken bat is found corked.
If they wanted to stop it, they could have all bats allowed into the dugout/stadium checked and approved prior to the start of each game. I think the umps check all the baseballs before the game starts - right? Why not the bats?
The league has to step in and create an equal playing field, or the guys who are willing to cheat will get an edge over those with more intregrity. Just like Enron...
