First - saying "Don't be a jerk" IS supporting the community.
Second - I agree fully with your sentiments about (a) letting us know about delays, (b) planning scarce time so that I can play my games and (c) being let down when I can't. It is very frustrating (though, as you say, understandable).
You have made my point (perhaps better than I did in my first post) that one can be frustrated and yet still ask for better treatment without being rude.
