Listening to Chicago's sports stations on internet radio, I found out that Cubs batting practice for a day game is 11 am - 11:50 am. Suppedly the gates open at 11:20 am. So who is Sammy suppose to be putting on a show for? The ground crew? Some VIP's. Maybe a 25 fans? According to a reporter, they didn't take Sammy's 76 bats till the 3rd inning. Plenty of time to stash the other corked bats. Also they said the barrel of the cracked cork bat is nowhere to be found. Fox sports had a video tape of Sammy batting the series before against Houston and it looks like he's using the same bat with the identical marking on it. Looking at him this year, his puffed up chipmunk cheeks are gone, a side effect for anyone who takes steriods. Speculation according to sports reporters, that he had to get off steriods this year for some reason. Is that why his numbers are down? Only 6 homers.
