I don't "know" that it works that way. It is my theory that it does work as I described, based on 4-5yrs of playing the game and observing what changing some of those settings will result in (based on a few weeks of experimenting on each level, not just one series).

I normally set my robot manager right in the middle for the bullpen setting, or one to the left, and I usually have plenty of action in the bullpen in road games (and typically carry 6-7 RP).
