Game quirks

Posted By MBravard

I am ambivalent about this.
Yes it seems unfair but here are a couple of points:

1. This sort of pitcher is only good at home and in the early innings. Late in the game the robot will pull a switcharoo and your killer reliever will be facing a batter from the wrong side of the plate.

2. While such pitchers will help in certain situations, they are limited and reward the game player with his head in the game. I believe PB should "reflect" MLB but leave some flexability. The best team on paper should not be able to easily dominate and thinking ouside the box should be rewarded---as it is in MLB but not necessarily in the same ways as it is in a SIM.

Just my two cents and I welcome comments on this subject.
