Bullpen Settings---Official Clarification??
Can we get an official word on what exactly an "aggressive" bullpen means?
I always assumed it to mean agressive with the hook, but others below have suggested the opposite. I would really like to know because I'm NOT happy with the way my pitchers are being used on the road with my new team, the Vancouver Schooners (98RT3).
Has anyone found a way to force the road manager to leave the starting pitchers in as long as possible?
I've used a combination of Ace Rotation and Agressive bullpen in the past, and sometimes the robot would pull my starters too early, but now I have a second team with a strong rotation and a weak bullpen, and I want the robot to ride the starters until their arms fall off. Any suggestions?
I'm thinking of an all-Ace Rotation plus an ultra-conservative bullpen and ultra-conservative pinch-hitting.
If we could get an official clarification of what "agressive" vs "conservative" pinch-hitting, baserunning, etc. means, that would also be extremely helpful.
