After my discussion with Jon on 6/7/03 I decided to try the agressive setting with my best pitcher and the conservative setting with my worst pitcher and leave all others on the middle setting. In two road starts each, my worst pitcher (conservative setting) lasted an average of four innings and 21 batters while my best pitcher (aggressive setting) pitched two complete games! A sample size of four is now where near large enough to draw any definite conclusions but I am beginning to think perhaps Jon is correct. It would be easy enough for Mike Bravard to answer this question. How about it Mike? Why make us guess as to how we should program our robot manager?
