Happened to me too,.... sortof. I had Spooneybarger as a short reliever (at least I thought)and he started twice in my last away series using up a bunch of his innings. Evidently when I made roster changes, one of my guys who I brought up from the farm didn't have a designation because I didn't go back and change it so that wiped out the rest of my previous designations. Is this true? Does anyone know what happens when one of your pitchers isn't designated a role? Does this really make everyone else act as though they have not been assigned a role either?
