SBs in this debate might be more useful as "Net" stolen bases (SB-CS). I don't know how exactly this would be included (perhaps as extra bases in the SLG calculation), but it should be. The idea that Rickey Henderson in his hey-day didn't hit a lot of doubles or triples was, to some degree, countered by the fact he stole tons of bases without getting caught a lot.
