It looks to me that this one just comes down to opinion on who will develop into the best player.
Snyder has a good PB rating but his ERA doesn't impress, he has an injury, and it seems to me his starting role is shaky. He only has 64 IP so his ERA could go up or down relatively quickly.
Lopez was supposed to be a starter but couldn't hold the job. He still could be a good prospect, but for now he'll probably be cut and in the monthly FA draft where you can get him cheap if you want him.
Eckstein is the only guy who has a solid job and he's having a poor season with some injuries.
Austin looks like a bust right now, but could prove to be a good starter - if he ever gets his confidence back. Again, expect to see him in the monthly FA draft if you want him. Since he was a top draft pick by KC, you'd think eventually he'll be a good pitcher...but that doesn't always occur.
So...why would the COMMISH venture into this trade. Hard to see how it upsets any league balance.
Who in this trade is a difference maker? I think these are the trades the COMMISH should not try to micro manage.
