What you guys really want is a new Stat created (or displayed) that you feel is a more valueable evaluative tool.

However OPS regardless of whether you think it is a good or bad evaluative tool is DEFINED as OBP + SLG.

You can develop something else if you like but you also need to come up with a name for it because the name OPS is taken. Some columnist on another service (I don't remember which one) posted an article on a stat called SLOB but I don't remember exactly what that stat is.
