Personally I like 27 carry overs
I am relatively new but I like the idea of 27 carryovers (as opposed to 20). The reason is that it forces teams to scout better and plan more for the future because there are less players available in the pool. If we only kept 20 players then it would be harder to go after young players because you know that with the exception of the cream of the crop you may not want to keep them the following year.
More keepers rewards teams that scout better. The counter argument is that with fewer keepers you can redistribute some talent and have more parity. But when we are talking about players 21-27 we are really talking about whether people keep young prospects or veteran backups. I like to reward those who scout good kids.
