I'm talking to a few GM's about acquiring middle relief help of the good-for-this-season-very-little-or-no-future variety. I see trades going through with this kind of pitcher for an Fa upgrade type thing but I'm also seeing trade offers for #1 picks and/or good young talent for guys with good numbers this year but as much future as Daryl Kile.
I realize it's a negotiation process but what do you think is the right value for these kinds of pitchers?
To use an example of guys I'm not in trade talks about but who are representative of the type:

Mike Williams

What are they worth ? A #1 pick ? A good young player ? FA upgrade ? Is Sauerbeck for Borchard a good deal ?
