Bullpen Instruct are Wrong

Posted By Anthony

For the years I have played this league, I have always been under the impression that if I wanted to leave my starting pitcher on the mound for as long as possible, I should indicate that I do not want to use my bullpen aggressively or in other words, set the bullpen usage as far to the left as possible/be conservative.

2-3 weeks ago, Mike sent a message that suggested to me that I reread the manual and that the system reads the instructions opposite of what I had been thinking. If you want to use your bullpen aggressively, select to the far left meaning you will use your starter conservatively. This sounds backwards to me but I just played a series in PB99T2 and had Halladay and Zito picthing Games 1 and 2 for me.

I had the indicator to the left of conservative indicating my desire/new understanding that hopefully Halladay and Zito would pitch deep into the game.

They did not. They pitched less than ever. Halladay went 6 and Zito 5 being pulled while pitching a shutout; Halladay was crusing with a 8 run lead when pulled after 6 and I had a 5 man rotation so he was not scheduled to pitch again.

Can someone/Mike please clarify this. I beleive the game manual new instructions in red are incorrect.

Thank you.
