You stated:

This is correct.


You then state:

"I had the indicator to the left of conservative indicating my desire/new understanding that hopefully Halladay and Zito would pitch deep into the game."

Bullpen agressive is to the left, meaning starters get pulled early. You had the setting to the left, thus they were pulled. You should have it to the right if you want your starters to stay in the game.

Please also note that these rules are disregarded if you have a 4 man rotation as the pitcher must get pulled earlier.
