I agree with the observations that actively manageing your teams helps you beat the robot. For a while last season and part of this year's early play I was playing home games in Auto mode. The team played worse for the robot than they did for me. Of course, I attributed this to my skill rather than a fault of the robot. LOL! Realistically, I think its becasue you know the ins and outs of your team better than the robot and you have the ability to be creative and ignore your own rules at times.
