Lately I've been using this strategy.....

I trade away my 1st and 2nd rookies for players that can help win a championship, and also might have some future, and get back a 3rd round rookie in return. I then keep two 3rd rookies, and usually a 4th rookie on my roster with prospects, 1 of which usually makes out. While I agree that 4ths and 5ths usually suck, 3rds do not....
