I like to get low rookie picks as a throw in. Then in the rookie draft I draft guys who are long shots & not ready for the bigs and I cannot keep them on my 27 man roster. But by cutting them, I can get one or two back in the free agent draft & then put them on the farm for a year, or two. Usually, any pick in the 3rd round or later, is a long shot, & is not going to help this year.
