That was essentially the trade made in 98 TRAD 2 between Griswold and Burnsville.

The actual trade was a #1 rookie and a #1 FA for the Halama, Lawrence and Carrara - but since the trade went through on 3/18 and the draft was on 3/18, it is pretty likely the draft position was known and Griswold had the overall top pick in the draft...[Burnsville took Prior]

The fact that a #1 FA pick was also in the trade isn't insignificant.

I apologize to both Griswold and Burnsville and don't mean to imply anything...I just found the series of trades fun to look over. I'm sure I've made worse trades and will recite them if either of those managers feels I should humiliate myself in retribution for talking about their trades.

The original post just made me go back to the league and check out trading histories and these were fun to review.
