McGwire got his homers and drove in runs but it always seemed to be against average or bad pitching. As was stated he failed many times to get clutch hit because of K's AND he of course would walk alot when I'd rather him get the run home. Against good pitching he did NOTHING. I traded him and got Schilling, Olerud and others to get an ace starter AND somebody who could get that runner from 3rd home with less than 2 outs! Runners being stranded drove me up the wall! Mark was awesome but only against so-so pitching.
