trade

I wouldn't do that trade if I were the team giving up Sheffield as I think he is on of the very few true superstars and Salmon clearly is not. Not an absurd offer, though I would be annoyed if a contending team picked up sheffield for that deal. I don't think there is much room to complain about rejected mless trades -- especially ones that are not slam dunks. However, I agree with you (assuming you think this) that it is reasonable to question some of the mless trades that get accepted. The pujols one below doesn't seem to fit the pupose of making thos teams more attractive to prospective owners. In one of my RT leagues (RT2 2000), an owner picked up Morgan Ensburg, whom I think could be a stud for years to come for three non-impact guys -- Jiminez, Blum and Larue -- and some meaningless rookie picks. I thought to meet the purpose of the MLESS trades, one should make the offer tilt significantly in favor of the mless team and that is what I tried to do in the couple I have pulled off -- though in retrospect, they turned out pretty well for me.
