The main reason that I am tiring of the game is the lack of competition. Between the unmanaged teams and the inactive managers, I feel like I'm playing solitaire. I think that the computer selects the opposing pitcher and lineups more often than not. I have one troubled team locked in pergatory -- it was almost the worst team in its RT league (at least on PV value) yet won 101 games and made the playoffs; its worse this year but still close to .500. I can't compete because the entire team is old and injured. I can't rebuild because the inactive or bad managers or unmanagers continue to lose more and get the few good picks. The way that the FA drafts works allows only the bottom three to four teams to pick up good new players and I could never get there unless I tried to lose games.
In my other league, I'm competing against two unmanaged teams and one rebuilder. I lead by 10 games. Now that stats are (almost) fixed, we still have half the season to play and my outcome is already determined.
I'm thinking that its not worth it anymore unless I could play in a league with 23 other active managers.
Some leagues will have to be disolved or the whole thing will cave in.
