I've been pretty supportive of Mike B. and rather critical of some of his opponents. How do I cash in? I'd like to pick up some of those deals for "sucking up."

Rather than the scenario you suggest, I think some of the deals that are okayed are the result of haste and probably a degree of exhaustion that could be avoided with fulltime staff. I actually agree with most of the points you make--we're stuck "in-between" being large enough to hire full time professional staff and being small enough to be run really well as a hobby.
