As an original founder back in the CSN days and the current owner of 18 teams, all perpetual, I find your ideas interesting but perhaps premature. What is missing from the analysis is input from the only person who knows what the problems and impediments to growing PB truly are - Mike Bravard. We can all speculate about this particular thing or that particular thing being a problem but none of us really know.

As far as the specific ideas, the biggest ones I would have a concern with are going to all hybrid leagues and updating stats less frequently. I don't have the time or interest to participate in real time leagues. I took a couple of real time teams several years ago and they just weren't for me. Don't get me wrong...i'm glad we have them for those that enjoy them but moving to all hybrid leagues would cause me to reluctantly leave. As far as updating stats less frequently, I think current stats are the lifeblood of the league and I would hate to see things go backwards.
