My point is; I wish I got credit for a great second half to the same extent as a great first half. But the game is not set up that way, as I know, so I'll live with it. It's just frustrating that someone who starts lousy and gets hot doesn't get his performance reflected accurately. If a pitcher has 5.00 era thru his first 100 innings, and a 2.00 era his next 100, he will not only not get credit for his great second half, he will not end up at a 3.50 era for the year due to his bad start.
