Breaking the season into little parts just makes the actual value of players meaningless.

Just because someone got hot and hit 8 HR in 2 weeks doesn't mean he ought to be better than Babe Ruth.

The early stats are screwy because some players start off over .500 or with huge power surges. After a month or so of play the stats start to stabilize and the good players rise to the top.

The PB SIM has enough screwy bugs in it without trying to reduce the # of at bats the stats are based upon. The early April stats may be fun to play with but do you really want a whole SEASON based on those type of streaky stats?

I love RT, and would like an earlier start...but breaking the season up into little chunks of unusual stats would just ruin the game...for me at least.
