I, for one, would be one of those abandoning teams if the founder membership fee increased. Currently, I have 6 teams and would drop however many necessary to keep at $30 a month or less.

I think one thing that could be done that Mike did not suggest is to expand the founder base. I think there are many non-founding members out there spending at least $30/month. Why not reward these current managers for supporting the game? I think some of the current founders feel obligated to keep all of their teams to keep the game strong. There are many good managers out there that are not getting the same benefits.

IF survival is the key, we have to strengthen the game more through membership numbers. I think the solution is to get more members who are involved first, before trying to expand. I would much rather have 10 managers with 10 teams each than 4 managers with 20 teams each and 6 managers with 3 or 4 teams each. I know most managers do not want 10 teams, but this is just an example.

As for the founder cost, I think it should stay the same for now. Eventually, I think we should slowly limit the number of teams a founder may have as new blood comes in.
