Founders

Posted By Tim Shine

I have cut and pasted a response to this issue below. I feel that it says pretty much what I would want to say.

Let me add though that pricing the game out of sight for founders is gong to be very counter productive to Purebaseball. These people manage their teams, play their games (for the most part), adjust their rosters, and don't quit in the middle, front end, or end of a season.

I've been paying $29 for a long time as a founder. I don't have a problem paying a bit more than that as a founder(maybe
$35-$40 if I kept all my teams). It should be noted though some founders may feel that paying that 29.95 is their due, since
they helped start up the league, as well as made the initial investment.

You must think of the founders as part owners of purebaseball, who gave the working capitol to get things going. The
agreement I believe was a lifetime agreement. Founders should realize that paying some additional money for the teams
they own is good for the league, that is why I don't mind a small bump.

One idea I was thinking about for founders was keeping the pricing exactly the same for founders, except charging a dollar
per team for each one over 3, up to a max of 10 dollars more. This would be a gradual step, and could be looked at again in
the next couple of years. Thus founders with 8 teams see their cost jump from $29 to $34(almost 20%), while founders with
13 teams or more see their cost go to $39(a 30% increase). Keep in mind this is coupled with a slight decrease for non
founders that take extra teams(in my opinion a sliding scale that drops $1 each time).

The big danger for increasing founders costs is that we could end up with a flood of unmanaged teams as some founders
give up teams(many took teams to help out, others might not want to pay extra).

I'm not even sure how many founders there were originally, and how many are still left.
