Pb is NOT baseball!!!
Over and over I read,'in real basebal, people start rookie line-ups all the time.' the implication being, if they do it in baseball then it's okay. The difference, and it's a big one, is that in real life -rookies gain experienc for the next year from playing. They gainconfidence, growth, strength, etc. Our game is a bunch of computer chips regurgitating numbers that SIMULATE the players they represent. Starting innocuous computer chips doesn't make them smarter.
As far as saving AB's and IP's, that's about managing and trying to win. My team is stronger at home than on the road, a fact not always indicated by results, because I like to be able to use fully my good players in the way I feel best helps me win.
If you want to manipulate PB to gain future, so it legitimately. Trade your good older players for better draft picks. Lower your PB by going for potential rather than players who have achieved this year but who are on the slide, if not this year than next.
Don't cheat. And If you do, in any league, but you also play in one I'm in, I want to know what the repurcussions are.
