Service questions

Poor service is a fact of life in many areas of our society.

That does not make bad service any less frustating and excuses do not help!

While I am proud of the product (even though I would like it to be better), I am not proud of the marketing, development or customer service associated with PB.

I and to blame for the current situation.

Trying to survive and making improvements in the system that will eventually make these leagues something we can all be proud of is the challenge.

Every problem we have stems from lack of development resources.

Take Tuesday robot games as an example: They are automated but they stop every time a neglected team (usually managed by the way)has so neglected his team that the robot can not start a game. We do not have anyone who can watch over the robot and nor do we have the resources to write a program that checks all teams in the system for viability (ability to play a game).

Almost every aspect of the scheduling process requires someone to be responsible for the mechanism of starting and ending the process.

On the revenue side, devlopment of an effective entry level game to attract fantasy and other serious baseball fans to SIM-ball is needed but has as yet not been produced.

Without a marketing device in place, none of the service issues will be handled to anyones staisfaction (for lack of resources)---but we can always try to do better.

Two friends (Duane Johnson and Greg Holloway) have tried to help with game restarts, bad lineups and some trade approval.

This is crucial because I am on the road in my tractor trailer rig about 7-9 days out of every 14. Luckily I have a regular run between Colorado and NYC and a laptop, but the trip is a tough one and I can log in only so often. There help has been invaluable.

I am also working on a new pricing and billing structure that will enable us to go forward.

Jeff Brown is working on a new web site.

John Meredith and Jeff and I hope to have the entry level game running by next spring...

We have a committed and very patient manager base.

I am open to constructive ideas and suggestions but please keep in mind that we have to prioritize everything we do because of very limited programming resources.
