I owe Ralph an apology, which I hereby tender in public.
While I stand by my opinion of the deal, I should have either just countered or sent Ralph an email thanking and declining. Incidentally, we have operated that way in the past, so Ralph had no reason to think this wasn't ok.
We obviously see these guys differently, but it wasn't so out of balance that I should have trashed the offer on the board.
As Garth points out, a post like mine could chill trading.
As much as I like to trade, that certainly wasn't my intent.
So...the only good thing is that it did provoke some discussion of the players involved.
