Assuming I have Sheffield, and I consider trading him ... (I'm guessing the question has to do with a managerless trade in some league)

Trade 1, I don't do. In fact, maybe I go to this board and harangue the guy for insulting me. :)

Trade 2, I don't do. I might in another year, but right now it doesn't look like the RK picks will be worth as much. My crystal ball sees only Mauer and maybe Little Matsui as premium rookies available to start the season. Spring will tell, but I think the best in the minors will come up as the season goes on. If my team is so bad and/or so many years away that I want to trade Sheffield, what value is Salmon to me?
