You get a 1B/DH that may hit almost as well as Sheffield in the next two years(now that he is out of the managers dog house), and a reliever that is awesome(and could still become a starter), plus a #1 FA. Sheffield may only have two more years, who knows.

Deal two was ok, and if it was the only offer on the table, and I felt I had to get rid of Sheffield, then I might do it.
