Thanks for the Solace
Garth,
You were correct about Trachsel, I erred on that one, my apologies.
However, with regard to the your questions about my settings, everyone had a role assigned, as follows:
Heredia---Short Relief
Lopez---Short Relief
Percival---Mid Relief
Riske---Short Relief
Sullivan---Short Relief
Weber---Mid Relief
Wheeler---Long Relief
As for my Bullpen settings, they were set at the #4 notch just past Average and before Aggressive.
Now to the question of Riske and Lopez being eligible to pitch in that ill-fated game 2.
Riske had pitched to 12 batters in game four of the previous series. Now assume the worst, he was -12 after that game. He recovers at 8, so with 2 games rest, (confirmed by the boxscores) he would have had at the bare minimum a BFA of 4. Yet, he was ignored.
The case for Lopez is even more obvious. He pitched to 5 batters in game four of the previous series. Again, assume the worst he was -5 after the game. He recovers at 6, so with 2 games rest, (again, confirmed by the boxscores) he would have been fully rested with a 6 BFA. Yet, he too was ignored.
Even more frustrating/unusual is both were completely unused for the ENTIRE series.
As for the debacle with Kinkaide and Taguchi, that is pretty self evident: The Robot screwed up.
As for Alou playing at 2b in a game earlier this year, that was a product of another screwing by the robot when he played ALL 8 defensive players out of position for a game. I commented on that earlier this year.
Again, thanks for your thoughts.
