Trading Anybody?
Greetings to all and welcome to the hot stove league. Burlington is in the market to trade. I have pared my team down to the point where most of the "trash" has been eliminated. If the number is 27 or greater then a few more will go after the rookie draft but some of them may be of interest to some teams.
Since I have so many teams I cannot individually list needs or availability for each team so I leave it to you to see where my biggest needs are and where you might fill in your gaps. I encourage trade proposals and I don't need a dialog unless you want one. If I do not see merit in a proposal I will not approve it. If I see merit but think a revision is in order, I will revise the proposal. Basically there are no untouchables but if I have a contending team and a first round rookie pick over 10, then I will not be looking to break up a decent pitching staff or a solid player at one of the tougher positions (ss, c, 2b, cf) - one that I will then have a hard time replacing.
It is obvious that some of my teams will make the playoffs next season and that others are in a complete rebuilding mode. However, most of my teams are somewhere in the middle and a trade or two might make them contenders. In this league just look at the overall PB value and pitching staff (starters) to see where this team fits. A trade should help you as much as it helps me. In some cases that help may not be immediate as in the case of trading prospects or rookie picks.
Please look me over and decide if you want to initiate a trade. I am always interested in early first round rookie picks and will usually pay more for them - I feel that this is the time to make trades in Traditional Leagues as I don't find the time during the season when game management takes up so much time.
Thanks for reading this.
