Sorry, I'll try again. Nevin at catcher?
In 98 RT 1(East beach Sharks),I use a platoon at catcher. Now, in the 145th game of the season, both are reaching their playing limits. For that reason I picked up an INN catcher (Chad Krueter) and brought him up. I didn't put him into a default line-up, not knowing my team would explode for 40 runs in the next 4 games, putting both my regulars into overused mode. The suprise came in game five, with Krueter available, the robot elected to put Phil Nevin behind the dish. He responded by going 3 for 3. I haven't looked closely, but I dont' think he had any SBs against or PBs. We lost anyway, so all is well. I am writing because I thought this would be taken care of by the robot. Isn't this the reason all teams were forced to carry 3 catchers? If the robot doesn't enforce the stipulated rule, doesn't it beg the question, "Why?"
