Sorry...but I disagree.

I am looking for a level playing field where those who make an effort to make trades that are fair and help both teams or who try to grab a guy on a hunch he'll develop, aren't at a disadvantage to those who take advantage of newbies, browbeat guys into trades, or run a farm team etc.

The whole reason for trade evaluations/rejections/approvals is to make a level playing field. That is why government got involved in regulating business under T.R., and it is why we need a strong Commish and trade evaluation system. Laissez faire only helps the bullies and cheaters.
