HOFers
Sandberg - I never thought of him as having the same impact as Jim Rice. As a great-fieding 2b, he certainly underrated compared to a mediocre LF, but I just don't think he contributed to winning games the way that HOFs do.
Alomar should go. I hope a long post-prime career does not work against him.
Rose. He's banned from baseball for life. He should remain so. The evilness of his crime is under-appreciated. Ironically, had he bet as a player -- even bet to lose and then throw games -- I could listen to him. As a manager, had he bet on the Reds to lose, I could listen. But as a manager, he bet to win on specific games (says the dealer/bookie who has proven to be more credible than Rose). Rose may have caused injury or otherwise harmed the careers of young pitchers who were in his care - for the sake of his bets. THAT is absolutely unforgivable. Banishment for life is an appropriate punishment.
