I've always thought that Rose should be in the Hall but shouldn't ever be permitted to manage again. The man has still not repented for what he did and thus would be a threat to do it again. I just don't see how that should keep a great player out of the Hall though. The Hall of Fame is as much if not more for the fans as for the players and managers, etc. who are in there. Why deprive his fans for what he did. Generally, the people who want him in are those who liked him as a player and the ones who don't, really never were fans of Pete Rose in the first place.

Playing devil's advocate here. What would we do if we found out that a player who had already been inducted into the HOF and had since passed away had bet on his own team during his career and that information just came out now. Would we rip him out of the Hall posthumously? I hope not but I wonder what would happen.
