Pete Rose broke the cardinal rule of baseball...he bet on baseball. Not only that but he bet on his own team while he was managing. There is NO exception to this rule, you are banned if found guilty of doing so. I don't feel sorry for Rose...he felt he was bigger than baseball and he's learning a very hard and difficult lesson. I don't believe for a minute that he has "reformed" and will never bet again. For crying out loud, he is involving himself today in horse racing and betting...how stupid is that! NO to Rose for LIFE!
