I'd like to pose a question to the forum:

What is the exchange rate for starting pitchers to relievers ? I've always kind of thought it was in the neighborhood of 1:2, 1 200 IP starter should get get you 2 60-80 IP relievers, given that the ratings are somewhat equivalent (5.0-6.0 for the starter, 5.5-7.0 for the relievers).

Does this seem right ? It would seem that there are a lot more relievers of that type than there are 200 inning starters with those kind of ratings. What do you think ?
