There's some (legitimate) frustration here over the FA draft. It's intended to provide some randomness to the game. In an atmosphere where the schedule is unclear and we sometimes wait a long time for something to get done then have a fairly short time frame to respond, this frustration is understandable.
Also, this year, the Trad draft has a number of pretty darned good starting players in it. Being in the top fifteen or so of the Trad draft could help a team turn around a lot more quickly. So...it's easy to see why Pete is upset. I don't happen to agree, but it's certainly a frustration several of us feel.
