I would prefer the FA draft gets set at the same time as the rookie draft, or better yet, be set based on prior year standings (OK, so I'm always bringin up the rear). I do like the fact that is reverses. Given the fact that it is the way it is, and we all know how it is set, we have to deal with it. During the year I always try to get minor FA upgrades, and I give up FA picks to get players I want. One reason for trading FA picks is that you are not always picking in the same place. So if the random order turns out to your disadvantage, you have picks from a few other teams to soften the blow.
