I favor having the trade period AFTER cutting to 27 and 125% cap level and after setting FA draft order.
Allowing trades before the 27 and cap cut allow high cap teams a large loophole in which to pass and renders the cap less effective.

How do you feel about this.

I want to hear the arguments.

I also should be forthright about my feelings relative to the FA draft.
I like the random order set after the rookie draft and always have.
Yes it is tough on the "control freak" in all of us, but it adds excitment and uncertainty to our SIM-baseball world whcih I think is a positive thing.
I prefer a strong cap to changing the way we do the FA draft (we have done it this way since 1989!).
Perhaps we will find that the 125% cap cut the SAT after the rookie draft is not strong enough? If that is the case we will revisit the discussion after the drafts.
