First, no managerless team should EVER trade Prior. Obviously not ever but the package better include quantity and quality. I'm serious. A top 3 rookie pick, a major budding star (Blalock,Beltran,etc.,) and a very good established pitcher (Schmidt,Mussina). If I couldn't get that then I'd hold him. I want STARS, not a couple of OK guys. OK Guys have good & bad years(Pavano & Eaton have had more bad than good); stars are good/great every year, like Prior will,IMO, be. The managerless team can not be more attractive without him than with him. To trade him for that package is horrible. I also wouldn't have traded him for Tim's offer.
